PVC-U Imperial Pressure Pipe Class C

Our PVC-U Pressure Pipe meets the requirements of WRAS, made from plasticised polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

PVC-U is one of the most widely used materials for pipe installations. It is highly suitable for both interior and exterior applications. Due to a Smooth bore it has both good flow characteristics and good resistance to abrasion. PVC-U is light to handle and can be easily jointed.

Our range of Imperial PVC-U Class C pressure pipe is supplied plain ended and available in sizes from 2”n.b to 4”n.b, it is rated at 9 Bar pressure at 20°C supplied in 6 metre lengths (2 1/2" is supplied in a 5 metre length).

Larger sizes from 5"n.b to 8"n.b are available on request.

All wall thicknesses and ID’s are approximate values.

For information on how to properly connect our PVC-U pressure pipe to fittings and valves, please follow the assembly and joining guidelines in our technical information sheet.

Always ensure you use the correct cleaner and PVC-U solvent cement required for bonding PVC pipe, fittings and valves together. These can be found in our product accessories section.

Chemical Resistance

The chemical resistance properties of PVC-U are excellent. It is resistant to most solutions of acids, alkalis, salts and to solvents that can be mixed with water.

Approvals

The material meets the requirements Of the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme for potable water.

Our commitment to quality is reflected by our operation of an independently assessed quality management system EN ISO 9001.

PVC-U conforms to the EEC safety Level for Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM) and the water regulation for potable water.
